Morgan's 2009-2010 Class

This was a great MDO class for Morgan.  This year he talked about his friends when he was at home.

Morgan was stung 3 times by the same wasp. I stomped the wasp and that made
me feel better.

Visiting Olaf, Kirsten & Ingrid

My mom and I took a trip to North & South Carolina last week and we were
able to stop in and see Olaf, Kirsten and baby Ingrid. This was my first
time to meet Ingrid and she's almost two! Morgan stayed home with my
sister. So, the kiddos still haven't met each other. I so wish that they
still lived in Dallas. But, their house is gorgeous. The backyard is
about 15 times as big as most of the houses here in Dallas and backs up to a
river and pond. Beautiful!

Robyn Eubanks

Our church held a benefit for Robyn Eubanks. She is a missionary in Germany
and also a dear friend of my friend Phyliss. Her website is

The kids had a costume party, bounce houses and games. The kiddo with the
goofy face is Mr. Charlie. His family is moving to Illinois. Katie &
Brian, we are going to miss you so badly!

Roller Derby?

Yep, you read that correctly. Roller derby! Melissa and Rob took Dan and I
to a roller derby! Ok, pick yourself up off the floor from laughing now. I
didn't even know that these really existed. I thought that it was just a
Ben Stiller kind of thing. We've never seen so much vinyl, ripped fish
nets, pink hair and tattoos on so many girls before. But, it was a total
blast and we are for sure going to go again some time!

It is soooooooooo cute! I can see lots of places where I messed up. But, it’s not bad for not knowing how to use a serger, not knowing how to use a ruffler attachment, not having enough fabric (almost) and also not having a pattern. And, not knowing how to do a rolled hem on the edge... done! Also… not bad for under $2. Yea!

It will look super cute with a brown sweater and brown leggings.
