Christi & Tommy in Town

Christi and I have know each other for over half of our lives! Wow! I just realized that a lot of my friends have been friends for over half of my life. That means I'm officially getting old. The four of us went to Mimi's for breakfast this morning. Tommy is going to be 10 on Wednesday. I remember when he was born. He's huge now! I just kept looking at Tommy thinking that someday my sweet tiny Morgan is also going to be a big guy. Boo hoo! Morgan had his first gummy worm. The waiter brought a little breakfast dessert of worms 'n dirt... mmm yummy. I thought that Morgan would have a hard time eating a gummy worm. Nope, he chowed down on it.

I look very tired and worn out here. But, it's the only picture I took of the two of us.

After lunch we took the kiddos to Petland. Christi bought this cute little pocket beagle and
Tommy named her Molly. I didn't even know that beagles came in a "pocket" version!

Neighborhood Nuisance

I love our neighborhood. It's so family friendly. We have a few families on the next block over that are ALWAYS out in their front yards. We call them the super families because they are always doing stuff with their kiddos. We saw a flyer on our mailbox when we returned from Caley's Sip 'n See. They have a neighborhood band called Neighborhood Nuisance and they were holding a concert in the culdesac. How fun! So, Dan and I walked about 8 houses over to check it out. Morgan immediatly started dancing in his little car. They had the street blocked and the kiddos were running all over the place. One kid behind us yelled, "you rock dad!". It was a great little event to wear Mr. Morgan out before bedtime.

Two New Firsts for Mr. Morgan

We took Morgan to Chuck E Cheese and he had Jello. It was his first for both! He was a little afraid of some of the rides at first. But, he really warmed up after a while. He loved hi-fiving Chuck E. Cheese, the giant rat. If you think about it... it's really gross to have a mouse/rat roaming around while you eat. I wonder who thought that character up.

Baby Caley's Sip 'n See

Jessica, Jonathan and baby Caley came to town for Caley's Sip 'n See at Don and Carol Lynn's house. Carol Lynn is always so with it when it comes to entertaining. She not only staffed the party, but also hired a sitter to stay with the children in the playroom with special kiddo treats and a cookie cake. It was so wonderful to be able to attend a party with childcare! I'm going to keep that idea in my bag of tricks for the future.

I'm so thrilled for Jess and Jonathan that baby Caley is finally here. It was a long road for them. And, Caley is a miracle baby. Jessica and I've been best friends for over half our lives now. So, it's even more special that we can experience motherhood together.

I tried to get a shot of her fabulous kitchen. It's amazing! She's thought of everything. She also has a special service pantry for her staffed parties. It's complete with a dishwasher and sink.
Here's the proud father!
Mr. Morgan was fascinated by the jet skiers on the lake.
I am fascinated by the fiber optic ceiling. It's not turned on in this photo. But, this mural has fiber optic lights that make it look like a starry sunset. It's kind of like a planetarium and really neat.

Morgan Won Cutest Costume!

Morgan was a huge hit at Chick-Fil-A for family super hero night. He was scared to death of the "Super" Cow and Batman when we first got there. He was high-fiving them by the end of the night.

Here is is with some of the other super-kids before the Superman pinata came out.
We sat on the sidelines for that.
It was a busy day today! We started out with a playdate with Peyton and Audrey at the Peck's house. Morgan had an afternoon playdate at Zoey's while I folded laundry. He said Zoey today for the first time on the way to her house. It actually sounds more like oay-eee. But, I know what he's saying. He also now says cheese for photos.
