Becky and I took the kiddos to the gym and met a new mom that I met this past Sunday at church. Jennifer has a little 6 month old son named Jonathan. She only lives a couple of streets over from Becky and a few down from me. We took all three babies in the indoor pool for about an hour. He SCREAMED HIS HEAD off when I took him out. Ohhh... he was maaaad to get out of the pool. Yep, he is for sure a little water baby. Becky and I put Zoey and Morgan on the ledge of the pool and grabbed their hands pulling them in the water. Morgan would just dunk under and come up smiling and laughing. He never choked on water. I dunked him under over and over and over again. I have no idea how he knows how to not suck in the water. This must be a talent inherited from his grandfather and myself. We were both swimmers.
This past Saturday I went to the Fun Run for little Caden. On July 26, 2007 his family discovered that a knot on Caden’s head was thought to be a bone tumor. After further testing, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Tumors were located in his left adrenal gland, abdomen, liver spine, sternum, bone marrow, and two in his skull. His family is now responsible for an $18K deductible and $45,000 for Caden’s stem cell transplant, which was deemed an “Out of Network” procedure by their insurance company. The pics below are from Saturday afternoon. It was Natalie's 1st birthday party! What a blast! The Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train came to their house. Morgan was a little scared. But, he had a great time. He also walked a few steps for the first time! He walked right over to Matt Kerper. My mom and a whole bunch of my friends were able to see it too. He just did it right in front of everyone. He hasn't repeated it since then. But, I have noticed that he is walking (with a hand) much steadier now.
