One Minute Without Supervision

Here's what happens without one minute of supervision. Yep, he unloaded over 100 baby wipes. I'm glad that I caught him. That antibacterial liquid is poisonous. It's hidden away now. This kid is quick!

Dallas Stars Meet And Greet

Morgan went to his first Dallas Stars Meet and Greet. I think that we learned how to do this one better next year. You should get there bright eyed and bushy tailed early in the morning. We let Morgan go until he was clearly ready for a nap. (See top pic.)
That afternoon we joined the Heals for Scott's birthday party. They had a snow cone machine for the kiddos and a margarita machine for the adults. It was catered Mexican food... yummy!

The Twinkie Rite of Passage

How could I not post this! I told you that I was behind in my postings! So much happens in a month. I’m going back through my photos. Here’s Morgan’s first (and only) Twinkie. I haven’t ever bought Twinkies…that I can remember. But, they gave them out at MOPS. So, I decided to allow Morgan this childhood rite of passage on September 20th.

Balloon Infatuation

We went to the Plano Balloon Festival about a month ago. Morgan is totally infatuated with balloons. He yells, "BOON BOON BOON!!!" anytime he sees one. We always get one at the grocery store. It's amazing the peace and quiet a little helium and rubber can buy during a shopping trip!

Pumpkin Patch 2008

It's been a whole year since last year's Pumpkin Patch trip. Click on the link. I can't believe how big he gotten. Morgan has a huge infatuation with Elmo, or "Momo", as Morgan likes say. Morgan is also recognizing himself in photos now. He calls himself Morgie. It's precious.

I joined the Village Mommies for a trip to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch this year. We went on a hayride. Morgan flipped out over the horses in the fields and barely took a second glance at the pumpkins. His favorite animal is the horse. He calls it a NEIGH! NEIGH NEIGH!

This year's pumpkin chosen by Mr. Morgan... good taste! Nice symmetry!

Leah came over for the afternoon while Julie went furniture shopping. Then, Christi and Wyatt came over. We swung over a couple of blocks and picked up Kimberly and Sarah. It was a beautiful day for a walk!

Morgan, Cows and GG

Morgan spent the night at GG's house about a month or so ago and she took him down the road to see the cows. By the way, GG lives smack in the middle of Plano. Isn't it odd that there are cows down the road from her?

What in our school cafeterias?

Mr. Morgan crashed and burned last night at 6:45pm. He had a big day at school and then Becky watched him so that I could still recover from my horrible cat allergy. I'm not a cat lover.

I was a little concerned that Morgan didn't have dinner. But, we decided that his sleep was a priority. My concerns were put to rest this morning when Morgan refused breakfast. I offered him three different foods and got a big "NO" from him on all of them.

We used to eat out for every meal. That sure does change when you have a kiddo. I'm constantly in the kitchen now and I'm really focusing on cooking from mostly scratch. It started out as a goal to keep a grocery budget. But, now I'm starting to see the health benefits from it.

This video freaked me out. Maybe Morgan should go to elementary school in Berkeley! I found out about this lady through one of my favorite food blogs.

I remember Dan and I were over at a friends house a couple of years before we had Morgan. Their son's school menu list was stuck on the refrigerator door. I couldn't believe the menu. It basically rotated pizza, corn dogs, hamburgers, Taco Bell (yes Taco Bell) and chicken nuggets. I told Dan to take a look at the menu and he swears that we ate the same junk in school. Did we? I remember having pizza and hamburgers. But, we also had real food choices. Watch this video and see the junk that is being fed to school kids.

This lady, Ann Cooper, is really on to something. Check out her food wheel for kids. My friend Becky came up a great tracking method. She uses a chart with magnets on her refrigerator. I'll have to get that scanned in so that everyone can see it.

Ok, picky little Mr. Morgan toddler, I'm now armed with more willpower to not give in when you won't eat the good for you stuff!
