AJ & Morgan

This is video from Amy & Kevin's house from months ago. It's too cute. I had to post!

We are sooooooo looking forward to their new house which is under construction. Yea for hardwood floors! I'll be able to brave the cat hair with much longer visits.

A Day of Firsts!

Today was a day of firsts! Morgan had his first haircut, his first sno cone, his first semi-suntan and first trip to the podiatrist office. Ok, that last part wasn't really a milestone. The good news is that my toe isn't broken.

Dan and I have been talking about taking Morgan in for his first haircut for about a month or so now. He was starting to develop a baby mullet. Dan is from Michigan after all. Ok, I'll leave that at that. Ha! I called Dan at work to see if that was one of those things that I would have to wait for him to come home from work. He said to go ahead and take Morgan in. My mom just happened to be in the area. We took Morgan to a special salon for kiddos. The place was packed with about 10 other kiddos. They have cartoons on their TV's, lots of video game stations and a little playroom with a train table. Morgan's chair was actually a red car. He was a champ! He loved getting his hair cut.

We met Becky, Zoey, Melissa, CJ, Jennifer, Joanne and Jonathan for sno cones afterwards. They were amazing. The ice was shaved like velvet. I could have just had the ice! It wasn't like the clumpy ice we had in elementary school. We shared a Georgia Peach sno cone. The stand has about 50 different flavors. I'm going to get the birthday cake one next time. The sno cone was a huge hit with Mr. Morgan. I wasn't able to dump it in his mouth fast enough. He was screaming for more in between bites. The stand was packed with moms and kids in bathing suits and swim cover ups. It was about 4pm and the perfect end to a pool day. I'm so glad that summer is here!

Race For The Cure!

We joined a bunch of our friends for the Race for the Cure in Plano. It was a lot of fun... but, hardly a workout. Dan and I started off with our Starbucks in hand pushing the stroller. They had a festival afterwards with a band, bounce houses and different booths set up. Christi set up our team. We were named Team Generations. Morgan rode in his stroller in honor of my grandmommie who is a breast cancer survivor. You can see her name pinned on his stroller below

We were going to all meet up at Breadwinners. It seemed that everyone else had the same idea also. There was an hour wait when we arrived! We could see everyone brunching in their Race for the Cure shirts. Our crowd ended up at Chick-Fil-A before the babies turned to toast. Morgan was one tired kiddo.
