Hi from Morgan

One of Morgan's most endearing qualities is his friendliness. He will say "hi" to anyone. LITERALLY. His favorite word is "hi"! And, he chooses to say hi to people that I would cross the other side of the street if our paths crossed. Morgan would say hi to this guy for sure. He said hi to a couple of weirdos yesterday at the grocery store and then again at Home Depot this morning.

YEA YEA YEA! I started AND finished a project this morning! After a pretty hefty bill from the rug cleaning and restoration people the dogs have now been banished to the back of the house. They actually had to take my dining room rug, clean it and redye parts where pee stains had discolored the rug. I love my dining room rug and was without it for three weeks while they restored it. We have an awkward walkway with angled diagonal walls that I needed to block off. There aren't any decent looking baby gates that work for this pathway. I know because I've research and researched. We've also had three failed gates. So, I decided to make a permanent barrier that is easy to step over. My dogs are only 4 pounds and 11 pounds. So, this 17" barrier works perfectly. I stained the wood and painted the brackets I made to secure it to the wall. It looks darker than it really is in the picture, DONE!

Water Baby

Well, Morgan is for sure a ladies man now. We bought a pool. Yep, he's living the high life. Remember the car. Now he can drive the ladies back to his pad and lounge in his pool.

Keeping up with the Cox's

Our neighbors better watch out... hee hee! We finally landscaped (besides the boring bushes) the front beds. We had the beds bumped out several feet, added a yard of dirt, added mortared stonework, landscaping and a bench for me to sit on in the front yard. It took my lovely husband all weekend and was quite the project. Everything should start filling in within the next couple of months. We planted over 200 mondo grass plants alone! Thanks Dan!

Potties & Poison

I should know better to let things get too quiet for too long before checking on him. ie. the underwear incident. So, I was cooking dinner last Friday and heard nothing. I went back to check on Morgan only to find him having a fabulous time in the toliet. Which is really just gross. But, I'd also recently put a little clip on cleaner inside the bowl... not the tank. So, he'd been playing in bleach and toliet cleaner. I yelled for Dan and Dan put him immediately in the bathtub to wash him down while I called Poison Control. Thanks to MOPS, I already had the number in my cell phone. Put it in your cell phone parents! 800.222.1222.

It turns out that Morgan is fine. The only thing that was hurt was his feelings when I took him away from what he though was a new toy!

Icky Icky Poo Poo.. gross!
